What are everyones oppions on those a arm widening kits ?

seems good if you dont want to spend the money on extended a arms. i know a bunch of people here have the kit. diamond j right?

yeah. do they take the abuse of jumping big all the time does anyone know?

def. dont use them for mx or anything that involves big jumps, if your going to race either use the stock a arms or get after market. i considered getting them at one point but i do way to much jumping so i just shelled out the extra cash for lsracing 2+ a arms.

if your gonna do any kind of jumpin get extended a-arms i would never use the wheelspacers or any other kits if you plan to jump..i wouldnt wanna take the chance but thats your call

i have the diamond j kit myself and have never have any trouble with it....
they are reallllly heavy duty... your a arms will snap or bend before anything happens to the kit.

yeah i was thinking that getting a arms is the best option im looking at the asr +3 +1 a arms. but i saw the kit an was wondering about them.. but i do alot of mx and jumping big gaps so i don't think i would want to trust them..

wheel spacers are fine if you get the right ones!!!! get the spacer round piece not the bolt ones i ride some mx and the wheel spacers are nice

I need to find what will take the abuse of jumping 50+ feet cause thats a regular for me..

i have the kit and have had no trouble, like xxxxfloodedxxx said they are heavy duty kits, i jump alot too and kit feels great. one other good thing about the kit is when parts go bad on aftermarket aarms its gonna cost alot more for replacment parts, where with the kit everything stays stock and its cheap to pick up stock parts

yes, this kit is very strong. you WILL break the stock a-arms before you hurt this kit.

i am pretty hard on my blaster and i jump a lot... not 50' but i do ride rough.

i want to see some pics of people jumping their mostly stock blasters 50' actually... cause... that seems hard to do.

Haha its not hard just is a hard landing :( thats why i need to upgrade parts. My friend jumped 92 feet on his stock 300ex and i only dared to jump 50 feet cause of the stock setup sucks on blasters

My stock shocks are blown on my blaster due to jumping it and beating it soo bad..

I am 17 years old I have been riding for a few years. I have pushed my blaster to its limits and beyond. If you hold your blaster deep enough it will go anywhere jump anything and fly far :)

i had the same prob. i would get sick air and land hard enough to jar every bone in your body! then i upgraded my front shocks to yfz450 and rear shock to 400ex and that was the smartest upgrade i did! Its nice to go fast and hit insane jumps but remember the bs stock shocks that are sittin under you!!.........Happy landings!!

will honda 250r workz shocks fit on this setup if i get the +6 widening kit?

will honda 250r workz shocks fit on this setup if i get the +6 widening kit?

this is from the website:
"Some of the shocks that will fit on the Blaster with this kit include 400EX, 450R, YFZ450, 660R, 700R, Z400 and R450 shocks"

so, i don't know. but, i would think that it would. anything is possible, you just may have to do a little thinking.

a lil thinking isn't bad considering the motor swap has taking alot of thinking an guessting the frame has too.. lol

you guys who have it, how is the steering affected with this kit? im thinking of gettin gth esmaller kit. 4" or something like that. my quad does alot of time in the sand and on rocky terrain. will the increased bump steer be too much for my kids to hold on to?

you do lose a little bit of turning radius but its not to bad, and with the bump steer i would just upgrade the shocks, it took awhile to get mine adjusted right to match the kit but now its perfect, like riding on a pilow!

hmm but from what everyones telling me this kit is hold up to mx?

with any extention you will runn into trouble only because of the amount of pressure on the hubs. it would be alot less risky if you got extended aarms and extended axle
