Lets get a group together and go ride the 51st and Seneca trails sometime in the next couple weeks.

Bring some wood for a bonfire!

Lots of poison ivy, stay on the trails!

LEGEND:
Yellow = Trails
Red = Parking
Blue = Off Limits
Green = Truck Entrance

I recommend everyone with a trailer enter from the Osage culdesac.

Let me know what a good day is for you guys, my Thursdays are taken.

We frequent this place a lot, it's safe, there's a lot of other people that come here as well including all the people who live around this place.

We are not going this weekend as I have to work.

My website hosts the pictures/info I will have to log in and figure out why the links are broken.

After I get the links working again it will be clear as day where to park your Trucks and trailers. It's private property that people have been riding on for years, owners brother lives close and stops in on occasion to say hi. Besides that the community is split between people that want it shut down and people who also ride there. Some jerks have been dumping crap in there to try and stop people from riding but there's enough good people down there to remove it in a week or so. Most weekends there are a lot of people with trucks, quads, sxs, dirt bikes and even the boyscouts on bicycles sometimes. It's not a huge place to ride but its fun. And there's a bunch more trails on the other side of tracks but don't get caught or stuck crossing them, big fine.

Well the images are missing on the server and I have no idea where the backups are so I just threw some print screens together.

Been looking for other places to ride here. I usually go down to Mulvane and ride the river/trails, or up to jeeps, but this is closer. Might have to check it out.

We have heard a lot about the Mulvane trails but don't know how to get there, where to park etc. If you don't might, please enlighten us!

You can either take rock rd or k-15 all the way down into mulvane. If you take k-15, take a right at the light in mulvane, if you take rock, go straight (south) through the light. Follow it until the stop sign, take a right, go about 100 yards to the next stop, take a left. Follow that road (53/119th st) around and over the tracks and back out of town towards I-35. Just before crossing the river there is a spot to turn off and down alongside the road. I used to just park down in there (right next to the no vehicles sign) There is also the industrial park on the right as you're coming out of town I used to park back in there and ride alongside the road to the spot I just mentioned. You can also come in from the west on 53/119th st (road the casino is on) I haven't ridden down there in quite a while, but I do go fish and take the kid down sometimes. Some of the area to the north has been posted private now, but it looks like people are still in there. From under the bridge you can go north or south once you figure out the trails. Going south requires riding along a farmers field by the sewage plant and into the burn pit area to get the trail again along the river which takes you onto the beach for a bit then back up into the woods to more trails down to the train bridge and a much larger section of beach.
I don't know how people are about riders down there now, they used to be cool and the cops never seemed to care unless someone was trashing it, heck I've passed them on the trails and gotten a wave. As long as you are respectful of the private land and any fields you may cross I've never had an issue. But I know some of the people to the south can get worked up if you're screwing around on their land to much.

Ive been wanting to ride down mulvane in my baja bug and my quad!!! Awesome info bro! I want to check out hutch on the river ? Badlands are overrated imo i went once and wasnt impessed i shoulda spent another 1.5 hours on the road and hit waynoka!

Any of you wichita riders still getting together? I got a small group that usually goes riding every sunday, and would love to have some others join. Didnt know about 51st and seneca tho, gonna have to check that out, as well as mulvane.

Of course! We were there earlier this month testing our quads out before heading down to waynoka.

Work just changed the schedule on me and now I get Tues/Wed off, no more Sundays, but we will be going to the river city blowout in valley center on memorial day weekend, they have ATV activities, I just got to get our Polaris' up and running for it.

I really want to test the new suspension on my raptor but I don't want to get it all muddy, lol.

I went to check this spot out Sunday, and upon unloading I was greeted by a home owner who was telling me a story about a kid being killed back there, and that it's been shut down.. Not wanting to believe him, I went ahead and packed up and went back on foot (with him) to check it out. Every 20' or so is posted no motorized vehicles, and the trails are FULL OF DOWNED TREES. (I suppose to keep people from riding?). So needless to say, I jumped in the truck and headed about a mile away to my usual ride spot and had a BLAST

I'm going to call bogus on this one, whoever talked to you probably just wanted to scare you off.

Basically the whole last year we have had a huge problem with a very small minority of assholes that live in that neighborhood. They started dumping trash at all the entrances and inside the trails, and digging dangerous holes in the middle of the trails. A little while ago it was posted that if people kept dumping that they would have to shut down the trails, now a bunch of trees are cut down and signs are posted, I believe just to scare people off from removing the trees. A couple of years ago a storm knocked a whole lot of trees down and everyone cut them out so they might be trying to scare off people from working in there.

Don't listen to anyone except an old guy in a red utility vehicle or the couple in the blue truck. There are a whole lot of people in that neighborhood that ride there!

Besides that, until the trails are cleared out, just hit up the trails on the South side of the tracks and don't bother with that neighborhood at all. I will post a map...

I would try one of these entrances to the South side trails, I would probably recommend the West side but the East side is much more secluded, less space however.
