Why am I Leaking Fuel From the Carb?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and pretty new to Blasters. I recently picked up a 1990 and it tends to leak gas out of the carb. It's leaking out of the drip hoses (not the overflow), the fuel line (which is also in pretty rough shape, prolly just need a new one) and while riding it seems to be a little moist around air/fuel screw. It also pours out of the overflow when idling. ( i set the float but it didn't fix it) I drain the fuel out of the carb and it still leaks a few drops, only enough to stink up the garage. I just ordered a carb kit with new jets. Any idea on what could be causing the leak out of the fuel line and drip hoses even after the bowl is drained?

Thanks for any Help, Hopefully I can figure it out so It no longer has to sit outside overnight:(

Couple things, re-Check your float, make sure its set correctly, IF you are sure your float is good, check the needle Seat. Typically when you look at the needle of a worn one you will see a small circle around the edges, Time for a Carb kit, When the carb kit comes in grab a couple cans of Carb cleaner and pull everything out of the carb and clean it really well then blow out all the inlets and jets with compressed air. I'm not an expert by any-means but I think I got this. The experts I am sure will chime in if I missed anything!

hopefully the rebuild kit you ordered comes with the float needle, the one with the black rubber tip, most do, but they're $50+ alone
and replace those bad lines

I do believe the kit I ordered comes with the float needle. I did completly clean the carb as stated above a few days ago but I did not check the float needle for ware. The inside of the carb was pretty gummed up, almost yellowish so it wouldn't surprise me if the float needle was bad.

Hopefully the carb kit fixes the issues
