who has the same setup as me?

need jetting help here ! 98 blaster toomey pipe,(pipe is being ordered) so stock exhaust for now air box lid removed,uni filter, vitos 240 .premix dumped in tank ,stock carb . The pilot jet is 32.5 -main is a 360(wow) and needle jet is blue-I think the previous owner put the 240 kit and carb jet kit in then took off his aftermarket pipe and put the stock pipe back on ,before he sold it to me. quad has no bottom end -wont even hit its power band -where do I begin should I replace the vitos jet kit- you guys out there are running the same or close to the same setup as me so what jets and needle setting /carb setting you all have? .TOO MUCH TYPING FOR ME lol

what about the needle fron vitos leave it or go back to stock also what silencer should I use -the guy I got the pipe from had a stock silencer on it. THANKS

put the needle clip in the middle slot

you can run any silencer really but i would get somthing diff then stock..

dude dont use that vitos needle....they dont have the same taper as a stock needle and u will have a nightmare of a time trying to get it dialed in, put the stock needle back in on the 3rd clip

yea its just the needle tho...i remeber when batt got one and we could not get it to run right at all...then i read about some one else having that same prob and sure enough we switched back to the stock needle and it ran perfect

yeah i hear alot about how those jet kits are junk....

ok Ill try the stock needle...we all know carb tuning is a pain ...what do you guys think of a dial a jet system ?

i say you need a bigger carb if it has a 240 kit.a stock carb you wont be getting full potential out of it

this is also true....a 33 to 35 will make a world of diffrence over that stock carb

the best carb for a 240 kit is a keihin 35mm pwk....but there has to be the mods to also support that stuff like a pipe and reeds

tunning a 240 bbk on a stock card sucks dont do it i wanted to jump off my roof when i tried doing that

dude carb tuning is 1/2 the fun of owning a two stroker right!!!!!!!!! especially when i ride from -10 F to 100+ F seems like all i get done but oh well better than a 4 poke
