ok iv been working on this bike for a couple weeks now its got a fresh bore vforce3 reeds and full fmf exhaust with no air box lid i was told the top end had about 3 hrs on it as i saw recipts for the bor i had just finished putting in new main jet mikuni 280 with the needle on the third position i did some plug chops and got a tan ring as i aint know for sure of how much it was broken in so i went throw a break in prosses myself did as discribed on a break in process after the fourth heat cycle i started to play a little i did two wheelies on the second one after i came down a huge puff of white smoke came out i emideatly shut it of pushed it to my gurage and tryed to kick it over again, and there it was smoking like crazy all white smoke so i then shut it of again now before i started all this i had did a leak down test and air was coming out the transmision was told the crank seals were probley bad now i didnt replace them im thinking this is what my problem is or could it be something else could i have blown the head???? if i blow the head would it smoke like that?? It seams to still have good compresion. What else coud this be?? now on my raptor 660 i had a head gasket go and the antie freeze was going into the cylender causing it to smoke white this is a two stroke so there is none of this i was thinking even if i blow the head it wouldent smoke like that but it would either be hard to start not start at all or just will not go fast at all if im wrong please let me know? i use klotz bean oil my mixture is 32-1 ratio it didnt smoke before with this mixtur so what do you think it is this things got me stumped and a little frusterated

well the white smoke coming out means your burnin tranny fluid. and know that you had a air leak and didnt fix it could of burnt up your topend but if you didnt drive it much it might still be good.

you didnt tell me in the PM that you knew the crank seals were leaking, or i would have positively told you that is the problem, and wouldnt have suggested for you to start a thread, replace the crank seal, leakdown test again

how would i know if i burnt out my top end? will it still start and run i didnt run it for long at all right after i caught the white smoke i shut it down pushed it up my block started it up for about a minute and a half as soon as i saw the smoke coming out i shut it down and havent ran it since. my next step was to get some seals but if i blow the head then that would mean i would have to get the top end honed or bored again and fix the seals

well its probably a good idea to pull the cylinder off and check it all out just to be sure. id also throw a new set of rings on it while you have it apart. and new gaskets... it shouldnt of hurt it that badly only running it for a couple minutes but better safe than sorrry

sorry about that awk08 i thought i mentioned that when i was doing the leak down test but yeah i didnt replace them so thats probly my problem

i say your top end is prolly fine, it takes way more than most expect to fry a piston, there is always some extra oil laying in the cases just waiting to be used, and a short run isnt gonna do fry it
replace them seals, leak test to be sure
compression test to check top end

on my blaster we just rebuilt it and checked for leak down its alright but it smokes the same but we mixed 6 oz. to a gallon but the we added more oil but we used benol but we added some coastal crappy oil because my dad thought it was to lean and we found out its 6 0z. over and now it smokes white but we took that gas out and put some new gas with the right mixture and it still smokes like white oil but he told me we need to burn it out so please help it runs great it just smokes theres no hesitation wen riding it whick we only took one little ride but he says we just have to get ride of the old gas just burn it out but we need help!!!!!! please help!!!!!

yep, let all that extra rich mix you put in there burn out, prolly has a sh*tload of extra oil laying in the bottom end and pipe,
mix 32:1, thats 4oz. to 1 gallon of fuel, with a good 2 stroke oil, i prefer maxima super m

Do you have to take the cylender off to replace the crank seals?... if not some one on here tought me its way easier to check you pistion buy looking throught the exhaust port that two bolts at the top end you have to remove but i guess its not as great of a look but i looked at mine through the exhaust an after removing the reed cage i i got a decent look at the inside of my top end from bothsides an never had to take the bike majorly apart
