White on stator and inside of case??

I have some white stuff that is on one of the cases and on the stator aswell. Is this just water that got in there? can get pic's if needed.

yeah sounds like a little corrosion on the stator... might just be a little damp if its not rusting id say a little gasket seal on the rubber plugs and seal will fix it

yeah, that's corrosion, aluminum turns white n flakes like that when it comes in contact with water

It's just oxidation. Take a wire brush and clean it up.

only way i'v seen people clean it up is sand it off lightly with some sandpaper, but it can be a pain in all the nooks in a case like that. and you gotta be carefull not to get any filings in the seal too

Dremel sells little wire brush bits. You can pick them up at a hardware store.

Ok sounds gd I have a couple of those, so this isnt a big deal?

wouldn't think so, just clean it up and check the seal to make sure you don't get moisture in there again and you'll be all good

Yep. Wire brush. Maybe shoot a little paint on it after wards and seal it good when you put it back together.

New gasket will take care of that! I had the same thing when I built mine. I had to use a little RTV as I use Freeks case saver too!
