Title says it all, which ones do you prefer...stock or aftermarket?? Which ones aftermarket why?

looking at getting some new bars myself so i figured id ask what you guys prefer.

**wasnt sure, and didnt find any threads of the sort...maybe wrong place./

I like the cr high bend motorcycle fat bars. why, cause im a taller rider and broad shouldered so I also don't cut them down. I also don't like the cross bar style bars. brand, pro taper

im assuming its all personal preference on the crossbar? mainly that little bump pad on it.haha

All bars use a pad, bars without cross bar have larger wider thicker pad, i use protaper metal mulishia medium bend 1 1/8 on a 1" riser in +1 antivibe. The 2" rise gives me good hieght, the medium bend is a mellow trabsfer to the controls, and a have an enormous pad, i can try n get pics this weekend if i find time to get to shop. 1 1/8 are also stronger at mounting points than slim down to standard 7/8s where controls go.

Tag low rise fat bars 1 1/8 with a riser or linger stem and a big FAT bar pad. ;)

my setup.

Trail Tech 1-1/8" X-Bars.
the only ones I found to have enuf room (control length) for a thumb throttle box and hydro brake lever/rezzie.
most other fat bars are made for bikes with a short control length for a twist throttle and the brake controls.
mounted to an East Coast ATV anti vibe mount, a thick Outlaw bar mount pad, on top of my own +2 anti vibe stem.

see...im assuming most of us stand over 5'10....at least i hope. im standing at close to 6'1 and with the stock stem and bars. it feels to short to me.(i dont like leaning over forward when i ride...personal preference) on my blaster im running fly 7/8 bars with a 2 inch riser, and it still feels short to me....

so im wondering..if i find a set of "high boy" handle bars, would that help me out a bit???

by high boy i mean like bmx bike handle bars etc.

If you get this >>> http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROX-2-RISE-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d52b824aa&vxp=mtr
You will get 2" rise and the ability to rock the bar forward and anti-vibe with the option to use a 7/8" or 1-1/8" bar.

Look for some high bend bars!

Do you know the height of your bars?

Look the raptor bar has a 143mm height! >>>> http://www.protaper.com/products/handlebars/contour

The banshee bars have a 150mm height! >>> http://www.renthal.com/shop/mx-products/handlebars/se-handlebars/atv-se-handlebars

I am 6'1" n was running fly bars before, i had same concerns... Going from a higher bend bar to a lower profile bar. I had fly bars on stock hieght, stock stem, so for me i made that up with +1 antivibe, +1 riser and its close enough for me to be comfy. to me fly bars seem exactly like bicycle bars, wouldnt say BMX bc we ride different profile n cut bars short n use different contours when we ride BMX. But bicycle yes, to get any higher than fly bars ud need to run APE HANGERS lol.
