What should I do?

I have a brand new honed cylinder set up for a 67mm piston.
My piston is scarred up but you can hardly feel them....
I can either re-ring or slap a new piston on....

If i just re-ring, i run the risk of have pre-detonation due to the scars....but i dont really have the money to buy a new piston ......

You really should buy a new piston, but as long and the scars are really bad you might be alright just re-ringing it, I would try and clean it up a little bit with some emery cloth or something.

short cuts lead nowhere but trouble dude. I know how you feel about spending the dough. you just want to get it running. but wait and buy a new piston. you can find weisco kit's for like 80 bucks sometimes on ebay.

Your right, if i dont do it right the first time, i have to spend the extra $60 for a new bore and hone! New piston it is.

While im at it, im gonna order some stuff that was on my wish list....
