what year atc shocks to use

does anyone know what year atc 250r shocks will work on the blaster

well the most common are the 85-86 ones and then you can get the trx 250r years 86-89 i believe and the trx ones are nicer cause there shorter than the atc ones by like 1 inch and the atc ones boost your rear end up like 3 inches so if you can get the trx 250r it would be better, a little bit shorter, about stock lenght but still way better than stock......i had an 85 atc shock on mine when i had it, loved it......was soooo soft and like riding on a cloud

they are also a hell of alot more money.. u think i shold get atc then get a better one once i have money cuz im looking for a good and cheap one right now

I actually wouldnt mind having my clearance up a couple inches because of where I generally ride.

What fronts would be a good pair for the atc250 shock?

the fronts are too tall, you can only use the rear

banshee's are the cheapest improvement, otherwise a set of used works are a good pair as well.

yes what he said^^the stock banshee fronts are an upgrade and not very expensive

the year doesnt matter, and for the atc shock, no you dont want the linkage

mine was just dirty, seals didnt leak and the shock was still charged, guess i got lucky haha

I already have Works shocks. I just wanted to make it a little taller in front if my rear was gonna be taller from the ATC shock.
