What year are my blasters really?

hey, I have 2 blasters both supposed to be year 2001 BUT there are several differences in them. For one; one of the quads has bolt holes on the frame for heel guards and one does not.
There must be a way to check the years on them? i don't even know where to find the serial numbers.

the serial # is located on the bottom left frame rail. Look at the 10th digit on there and there was a thread on here that'll help you decide what year you've got
