What oil ration

Depends what you mean by higher ratio, more oil in the fuel (i.e. a lower first number) will lean out the fuel mix and require a larger main jet (as there is less fuel per given amount of the oil & fuel mix so more fuel oil mixture is need to maintain the correct air to fuel ratio) but will provide the engine with more oil and less oil in the fuel (larger first number) will make the jetting richer (as there is more fuel per given amount of fuel oil mix) but will decrease the amount of oil fed into the engine. 32:1 is a good safe mix that most people on here run, if you intend on running castor oil (bean oil) then more oil is a wise choice, around 25:1.

Bean oil can be used quite happily at 32:1 .
Heavier oil concentrations are used for extra compression and greater revs.

probably not ideal 24:1 or 32:1 or 4 oz for every galllon I personally wouldent go lower than 32:1 in anything thats a 2stroke thats mine. unless it says otherwise

I run Castrol R30 bean oil at 25:1 because I like to know that my motor is well lubricated.

I choose to use the greater oil mix as my motor has to work very hard and at high revs.

A large 2 stroke motor can happily exsist a with an oil ratio of 50:1, 80:1 or even 100:1.

It all depends on the size of the motor.

Any motor below 200ccs that revs hard deserves a good slug of oil.

The smaller the motor the more oil it requires for perfect lubrication, because the fuel and air charge is moving so quickly the oil cannot get out of suspension to pool in the crankcase.
