What gears

To me it feels like first gear is way to short, by time i give it gas I need to shift and I think I want to try and make the gearing higher
any thought on what others r running
Im pretty sure i want to make the top end faster so what would i need to do as far as teeth, it has stock gearing now

I need to buy a new chain also so i plan on getting the whole kit

on my old blaster i put a 14t front and it make bearly any difference imo

The stock front is 13. You can go up to a 15 but may hurt your low end to much.

on my street bike they go down one in the ft and add 2 or 3 to the back, but that makes it more tourkie,

so i want to go up one in the ft and take away from the back or do most just add 2 to the ft. i can tell first is so tourkie (sp) that adding two to the ft might not be such a bad idea

to do the 15 you will need to trim the side of the case so the chain doesnt rub it. you will also need to have lots of engine to pull that much gear. one tooth in the front is like changing 3 teeth in the back so itll be a very noticeable jump for you

you'll find the kits on ebay, they'll say "more speed" for the 14/40 gears and chain set
