Water pump?

I saw 79Bronco comment in another thread about the water pump inlet. I didnt want to jack up the guys build thread with lots of questions.

What is this water pump inlet? Why is it there?

it is there for the DT200 motor which shares most of the same parts as the blaster however it is water cooled.

the dt 200 used the exact same clutch cover as a blaster so they didint change it

i like to cut that nipple shorter and re-install the rubber plug, looks cleaner and allows easier access to the front base nut

anyone here ever see a blaster side case without the watercooling setup????? i rebuilt a motor for a friend and noticed he had a very different looking side case then i have ever seen on these blaster motors. i have a pic of it but cant upload atm it is missing the bolt up for the waterpump and dos not have the inlet or outlet. ill show the pic when i can

edit: heres what im talking about. anyone ever see this??

Wow, that is weird!
Cylinder looks a bit weird too. Not a Blaster motor? IT200?
