it changes the relation to crank position and the firing of the plug.im not sure how much u actually gain... depends on what mods u have. from looking, i would get some v3 reeds and a new expansion chamber and for real power port that head!
Forget the flywheel key and do an advance mod yourself for free.
A few tools and 20 strokes with a round file, hey presto dial in any advance setting you want.
Coupled up with a reed spacer block and some dual reeds and +4deg timing will give a good low/mid response with the loss of a little of the top end.
I have never tried it with a motor not running some sort of aftermarket pipe, so I dont know how much gain you would get.
