So I just bought another blaster last night and it had a Vito's crank in it. There is no up and down play, but the blue ring around the rod is starting to wear. There seems to be a little piece of it missing. I will post pictures of it next time I go out in the garage. Is this something to be concerned about?

Post a pic so we can see.I have only ever heard of one that stuffer blocks came apart,I run a few of them and they have all been flawless.Still not a believer of the stuffer block nonsense.

I don't believe that they are grenades either. I'm gonna buy another one next time I need it , but just like any engine component they wont last forever and should be replaced if their condition is questionable.

If the exploded crank in question was SiCivic, there is more to the story. Seems his kid let it warm up an excedingly long time. Then rode it even tho he could smell "plastic".

It looks exactly like the one in the link that I posted. I'm not going to worry about it. I'll be sending the motor out to get it ported to match the crank. It had what looked like a home port job on it.
