So here i am. the last stop on my 6 month world tour. Sydney, Australia. It has all the look and feel of home. weather is perfect here and the people so super friendly. you can literally stop any person on the street, tell them you are an american from teh navy ship and they will drop what they are doing and ensure you have a good time. i am not exaggerating with this at all. they will take you to see places, out to eat, to night clubs. all they want is a tour of the ship in return.

so here a a few pics from when we were pulling in to the harbor. i have taken a TON that are still on my camera and will post them up soon.

If any of you ever get the chance to visit this place. please dont think twice about it and bring lots of $$$

the only thing i wanted to do while here is scuba dive and its too cold. they just got out of winter here and the water is like 50 degrees. not to mention it doesnt help that we are just a few hundred miles north of antarctica

this place is beautiful. but i do honestly have to say the nicest place we have went on this 6 month cruise was Hawaii. Maui island was the most spectacular place i have ever seen. theres a post somewhere in this section with pics from when i was there.

the people here are what make this place great. they are super friendly and love to talk to us Americans. they get just as big of a kick from our accent as we do of theirs.

we're on our way home now. somewhere between Australia and Hawaii. i cant give the dates we will be home due to security reasons, but it will be soon. i cant wait to get back and see my wife and kids.

we're doing something out here to kill the time while we make our way home. its something clost to 5500 miles from sydney to home. so, we are trying to beat the ship home. every day in teh gym they are keeping a log book of all miles ran, biked, stair stepped, or done on an elliptical trainer. we are trying to reach the mileage goal before the ship does. everyone who participates gets a chance at a drawing at the end of the cruise. im riding a stationary bike anywhere from 20 to 50 miles a day and running 4 miles every other day just out of boredom.

my day is split up between that and playing my PSP or surfing this forum.

Sounds like a great way to pass time Valhalla ! ! Im sure spirits are high, and it is a great way to keep alot of guys occupied on that final stretch home... Be safe.

the kids are covered... lol

lets see. we have been stockpiling xmas presents for the kids since i have been gone. so far we have managed to stockpile a PS3, Rockband for PS3, 3 PSP's ( i got them each one because i can unlock them and have 175 games on my hard drive), new shoes for all 3 kids, some games, a metric f*ck ton of clothes, new +4+1 a-arms and elka front shocks for the blaster (my 14yo kid will love those), and a new computer for me.

now to find something for the wife............

13 days till i get home. the countdown has begun
