Was working around the house today doing a few things.Well it started to down pour so I called it quits.I came inside to take my boots off and all of a sudden I hear this large boom, crackel.Out of the corner of my eye I see this large tree split into 2 and comecrashing down.A little damage to the wifes minivan but other than that no major damage. The tree that shee was parked below caught the tree and dropped it just inches from destroying the van.So as you can see my Fathers day was full of fun.lol

At least the fence is still intact!!! Lol, looks like you got lucky, maybe you need to go buy a few lotto tickets!!!

lol I got lucky for sure. It's tough to tell but in the 2nd pic you can see the one trunk that went towards the van and then the other trunk(hidden between the fence) that went right towards the house and truck. The evergreen on the corner of the house is now half gone.I am just thankful it went the way it did.It could have been alot worse.

hey it looks like ur wife might have backed the minvan into ur truck.lol.....but if it was 3 ft further ahead, bye bye van....good thing she parked that close eh lol

It's close but she is not touching the truck.lol She deffinately picked a good parking spot.haha Thank god for the tree that broke the fall or I would be shopping for a new vehicle.lol I do have to say there is 3 vehicles in my driveway and my boat so moving vehicles around is a challenge sometimes.

Damn Ian, that's a close call. Hope ya don't have to dish out any chedda to fix that.

NO money yet besides alot of labor to clean it up.I cut up about 1/2 of it already and will get the rest tomorrow.I guess in the long run it saved me a few grand from not having to call a tree company in to take it down.haha

wow, I think I can see burn marks, I'm not sure

Good eye!!! that is actually where the bugs got into one of the knots in the tree and just keep eating it away.In the ned that is what made the tree fall. There was another limb from the same tree that came down in the street a few months back.I wish I had noticed the bugs then and not when it was lying on the ground.

close one bro, and yeah that coulda been alot worse, like take out the durango and trailer (no busco), or even worse take out the garage with the blasty's in it

Sure was close, just glad nothing major got hurt. But I am beat to hell after yesterday and then working today to come home and finish up the tree. It's just about cut up and then many of trips to haul it away.Heres how the yard looks now.

Holy crap dude!! Glad your ok.

We had a real freak windstorm some weeks ago and lost one of our best looking trees.
Luckily it fell away from the driveway missing our power lines.... but if it had went the other way... ohhhh man....
