Ok so I need to kno if a Toomey B1 is the best exhaust to use for pretty much only trail riding or riding on private land? I doubt we will ever actually race our blasters so I wanna put the correct exhaust on for our type of riding. I also have a FMF gold series fatty with powercore 2, which I will be putting on my blasty hopefully tomorrow :)

Ok so heres what will be running on BF's blaster
Stock motor (for now)
UNI airfilter lid off or possible vented airlid
Correct jet (unknown right now)
Stock carb

So with that is the toomey B1 the best thing to run for trail riding? Or should I get another FMF setup?

A toomey pipe will be a fine choice for a trial pipe on a almost stock motor. Although an fmf would also be a great choice. They have their powerbands at two totally different areas. The fmf makes its power low to mid in the rpm range where a toomey makes its power mid to high in the rpm range. It all comes down to rider preference.

Alright awesome! If/when I start my mods to the motor they will still work just as good right? And what jet should I run that toomey with???

Yes unless you are going stroked bigbore motor it will be fine. I am running a stock carb on the toomy with a home port job and +3 timing open airbox lid with uni filter. My main jet is a 310 and it runs perfect

I have an FMF and while its nice and rippy in the midrange, sometimes when you want it to stretch its legs, it just doesnt HIT like you want it to. I REALLY want a Toomey. I will get one when I get money for one.

Nope prolly wont go big bore for a long while! So in my stock motor would the 310 still work for me, i guess what I mean should I start a lil higher than that and work down?? And yea I kinda lucked out, the toomey kit came off the blaster im parting out! And I got a killer deal IMO on my FMF system :)

310 is high already. Youll most likely be between a 280 and a 310 depending on your altitude, temprature and humidity.

Id start with the 310 and work my way down. I doubt youll be higher than a 310.

Toomey's and the FMF are similar only the toomey has much more leg room in all the same areas espesially the top. An FMF on a stock motor makes about 25HP and a toomey makes arround 26.5HP
