What is the t.o.r.s system n how do you remove it n what does it do. I keep hearing about it alot on here I have a 96 blaster and when i get my motor together I want to maximize the power I get out of it

It has nothing to do with added power. Throttle Override Retarded $hit. If the throttle sticks the "Brain" doesn't let it rev up, basically leaving you stranded. Simple way is to disconnect the "brain box" under the hood. The best way is to get the "kit" which is carb cap, new cable, idle screw, and drill&tap for screw.

Throttle Over Ride System, stops engine revving out of control if throttle sticks on.

It is renowned for causing problems.

You can get a removal kit with the instructions included, pretty easy job to do.

Ok I was just curious mine is fine never had a problem with it so ill leave it for now

At least unplug the box for now. Adding cap and cable also makes it easier to work on carb.
