OK i have the kit,and fully understand it. However can I get clarification on one detail. After all the electrical components are removed. What do I do with the three plugs,2 under the hood and 1 by the carb? They are wrapped up into the harness and I would prefer to not cut anything. Can they just be left alone? Or will dirt and water cause me greif? Should I tape them up? If I tape them water will eventually get into them,no matter how well I tape em. Please advise me. I will cut them if I have to and tape them up but like I said I would rather not. Thanks Oh I did a search on this and found different answers, I would like the best one. Its a 2002

Cut the end off ( about 1 1/2 inches ) of a small balloon that blows up to make a sausage, and partially fill it with silicone gasket maker, insert the ends and seal with a small cable tie.

Waterproof seal , :)

Tape wires to harness.

Cut the plugs off and retape the harness you will never know they were or werent there.Just did the same on the new blaster. When i pull it apart for paint i plan to go through the harness and remove them all together and inspect the rest of the wires.Very easy to do with the harness on a bench just split the wire loom and trace them back and remove them then rewrap the rest of the harness.

I ride in lot of mud and water so i had the same concerns

You will have tree connectors left unattached, two have 2 wires each and one (under the hood) will have 3 wires , the 2 with two wires each will do nothing even if grounded!
Only the one with 3 wires will kill the engine if one of the wires is gounded.

So you have only to protect this 3 wire plug from water
I fill the connector with silicone or glue gun

Tape the plugs or cut 'em and tape the wires. Not gonna hurt anything either way.

agreed !!!!!!

only the tors brain recieves power, then supplies it to the carb box and throttle switch, once the brain is removed, the other wires are dead,
just seal up the one under the hood real good and all should be well

Thanks for the help! As I said I really dont like cutting up the harness. So Im gonna leave the 2) two plugs leads ,maybe tape em up and I will zip tie a ballon with silicon sealer around the three wire lead. Again thanks alot!
