About to start my top end rebuild in a few days on my 2000 Blaster. I ordered a kit that has everything including piston, rings, cylinder, gaskets, and carb. Just wondering if there was any recommendations that anyone had on the rebuild, special tricks, important things to remember, or tips. Thanks!

All I am using the quad for is casual riding. I have no intentions of racing or anything. I just need a running quad So I would disagree its a waste of money...

Understand. I have purchased one of these kit before for just the casual ride. Piston lasted 2 rides. Thats AFTER DAYS of dremel work on the cylinder just to get it runable!

Page 3 of my rebuild of that blaster. It was just a cheap rebuild, for 1 weekend of riding. Went cheap and bought the kit. Mistake! piston slap right away, never ran good even after cleaning it up. It was leak tested, heat cycled and plug chopped. still ran like dog crap.

Getting you cylinder bored is no more that $60
if you use a cast piston, Namura are like $60

So $120 to be done correctly.
