so my blaster blew up on me yesterday and i need to rebuild and i am looking at this kit here but then there's all of these other ones too besides standard

what is the point of having the others...its the same price but idk what they are and also what do i have to do to rebuild dont i have to send it out to get bored out?

do i want other ones other than standard? do i need other stuff if i don't just get the standard bore or can i just put it in?

what happens is the sleeve the piston rides inside slowly wears from the ring contact. eventually it will get so large that the piston can slap back and forth inside it and shatter the piton causing catostrophic engine damage. you need to have the cylinder measured for what size piston you need. then order the piston. once you get it you take the piston and the cylinder to a good builder to bore it to the exact piston you bought. You also have to make sure that they champfer the ports(this is rounding the edges of the ports slightly to keep the rings from snagging on them)

Raremike.
Sorry to heat she blew up.

A few things.

If you can take the head and cylinder off and look and see if the piston is broke.

This is key to perhaps having to inspect the inner cases for dmaage / breaks, cracks.

You will also need a good gasket kit and advise replacing the cranks seals also.

I do now know, if you are going to rebuild yourself or a local shop.

But if you have not gotten a manual for it, I woudl recommend this. To read up and learn. there is plenty of good videos and pictures on the forum also.

There is a manua here for free to download.

We do feel better when you atleast donate a few $$$ to the forum.
If you can post pictures of the piston / cylinder damae, that might help us help you.

You know what I get sick of ???

Us blaster guys see it all the time....

No mater what web site for atv's you go to for parts, even ebay....

EVERY JACKWAGON USES A GENERIC PHOTO FOR THE BLASTER PARTS (NO MATTER WHAT PART),AND ITS ALMOST ALWAYS A PICTURE OF FOUR STROKE PARTS, WHICH CAN BE EXTREMELY CONFUSING TO THE NEW PEOPLE>

Last time I checked,I don't have valve relief cuts on the top of my piston.

Its not tough to do...just copy and paste a picture from any search engine.

Its Friggin FREE to do.

It would also probably cut down the number of phone calls that ask..."Is that the correct part in the picture? It doesn't look like mine."

Relax...I'm just ranting a bit. Its true though.
