top end boreing

You would be fine with unleaded gas, boring it over won't change anything with the gas. I prefer wiseco, but there are some people on here who run namura, i've just never had any experience with them.

i like what his ad says about wiseco LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have learned that Wiseco pistons are lighter than stock. In a way is good. But the balancer in your engine is designed to carry a heavyer piston from stock. Namura's pistons weight is the same as stock. Thus keeping everything balanced = less wear on the bearings the crank and the vibration threw out the bike.

I saw that too lol. But he sells the same kit with a wiseco piston for $20 more lol.

i think your mis understood, the only reason you would get a re-bore of this kind, IE, one or two sizes up is because your top end is in bad condition, low on compression, seized Etc. Boring this way, will have no performance gains beside what u get from having a fresh top end. it only takes it up 1 or 2 cc's if that, taking a dump before you ride probably gives more gains :L

big bore kits on the other hand are a different story all together, you either need a sleeve or a new jug for that and piston, and your talking more bucks than a simpy fresh top end, that will bore your cylinder out to a 240 and that will give you mega performance gains I:I

thats a good deal man........ yeah i'll vouch for the wiseco also even though my bike has had the stock piston, stock bore, stock everything in the topend for 4 years and its still got tons of compression.....and i ride almost everyday....... i say if you need a rebuild that guy is giving you a good deal
