i know u were just playin 'freek.. but i heard sumwhere that if you dont have at least 6 inches of header pipe on a running engine, that damage occurs. anyone else hear this?

don't remove the whole pipe very bad idea. sure u can take the silencer off but it can burn the rings out

yes.. i believe im correct in saying that.. sumthin to do with the harmonic waves coming from the exhaust port... that they need enuff space to bounce clear of the open port... an like dirty said.. im sure youd get sum wicked flames from the exhaust with no expansion chamber on.. id luv to see it tho lol

its actually wicked clean on the inside, I cleaned the filter but not the cover.
and when I got the pipes put on he put that on too, so I don't know if it came with toomey pipes or..

toomey gives u vents for ur airbox lid which is stupid just take it off.or atleast clean the vents man let your motor breath..i got the vents with my toomey b1 kit..i just took the lid off

yeah the reason damage occurs without a header or silencer is cuz dirt and even just cold air get into the cylider and cause the piston to fry!
and no flames come out of the exhaust port when theres no header on
my header fell off one day when i was riding in a snow storm and i didnt see one flame

btw it sucked pushing the blaster all the way home
