If I advance the timing what should I be looking for power wise

adds a little low end torque and lose some top end rpm's

Maybe depending on "type" of pipe you have, the low/mid increase is pretty noticeable. I'mrunning ported cyl and fat bastard pipe. Nice improvement with little loss up top.
You can modify the stock plate and get "about" 4* advance, which is all you want to go.
