I think Cochise is on the right track. "timing" being off doesn't ring true. They put alot of sh*t on that sucker and it don't run. I..."me, myself and I" would think there is alot more here than just an innocent issue. You put that kind of money and effort into it and then want a friggin' paintball gun??? Something smells.

BTW, if the gas is/was wrong, the cyl. may be burnt and he has squat for compression on his HC piston. That would feel like bad timing.

I would be very cautious and jew the hell outta that fella unless you get to tear it down and know what's wrong.
