Hey all,

I installed a TORS elimination kit on my blaster the other day. Basically just to get rid of that goofy box on top of the carb & for a little easier idle adjustment.. Its nice to just pop the carb out of the side of motor w/o having to disconnect the cable !!

AAaaanyway, we swapped the slide out of my carb for one out of another carb. Mostly because it looked cleaner & nicer.. They were both stock blaster carbs..

I noticed the little washers on the needle were different on the 2 slides. One had a small thin metal washer on top of the clip & thats it. The other one had a thicker nylon washer on it. But this washer was installed on the slide itself, underneath the needle.. The nylon washer was about 3x thicker than the metal washer.. The first carb didn't even have a nylon washer in it.

I looked @ the exploded diagram in the svc manual- but its not much help. I think this is whats throwing my whole carb tuning off...

So, my question is this... What is the correct configuration of the small washers inside the throttle slide???

Thanks.

I don't know.. thats why I'm asking !! :D

I just need to know how the washer(s) that are on the needle are installed??
Is one metal & one nylon??

Thanks for any info.

look up the service specs in the DIY, it is explained very well in the full shop service manual there!

I have a copy of that service manual already.

I was looking @ the exploded view of the carb slide- But that looks like theres only 1 washer & its on top of the clip.... But, I don't know if its metal or nylon...

Maybe I missed something in there, but I didn't see it really explained in detail... If theres anymore info in there regarding this specific part- someone please show me..

Thanks !!
