Looks like a bad home port job to me. The motor had a +3 Vito's crank in it too. How bad is this port job?

you guys do know that the "looks" of the intake window has almost absolutely nothing to do with how the motor is going to perform right? intake being all smooth and pretty dont mean jack if the transfer ports and exhasht port arent touched..

just an fyi

I have to agree with you Little3mil.
While I have some different ideas on what the reedbox needs, this is a conventional port and would be an improvement on stock.

Myself, I'd cram 3 oz of epoxy in there, but what do I know...

The transfer ports are cleaned up. Not sure on the exhaust port. So what is everybody's vote? Should I send it out and see if it's ported to match the crank or just run it? Not sure if I want this to be my spare motor or build another blaster!

How could anyone give an intellegent vote?
Nobody has seen the exhaust.

Got a good picture of the exhaust port?

What is the piston clearance like?

Are you going to run a rechambered head?

What is your sqush distance?

Steve

I will get pics of the exhaust port. The head is stock so it had the spacer plate on it. Piston clearance was .004

Cleaned up to stop the eddy currents produced by rough and inconsistant surfaces, that is the start of a good intake port job.

It just needs someone who knows what they are doing to clean it up some.
