thinking about building a banshee

so i love my blaster a lot dont get me wrong but it wouldnt hurt to have a banshee so i need ideas on what i should do as in buy a roller and cases and send to KOR for porting and mod work i would want my banshee to smoke 700cc quads and up give me some ideas thanks!! my budget is 2000$ that is excluding the exhaust that i would want. hoping wifesblaster will chimme in on what i should do as he has did something similar ? thanks in advance guys!I:I

Well I can tell you 2,000 isn't going to go far when building a banshee. I'm close to 3,000 and mine was free! I still have a stock crank too!!!! If I would have built a 4 mil it would have been at least 3,500 for a free bike. Banshees are not cheap to build. I'm not saying don't do it. I'm just saying think about it, research prices on parts/mods, and weigh your options. Often times you can find someone selling on for way cheaper than you can build one. I decided to do it cause I didn't want to see a good ol shee go to the dump. I can still break even on mine, but that's because it was free. I did a lot of CL shopping and trading to keep the cost down. I have over 700 just in top end. All depends on how crazy you want to get. Very easy to dump 20,000 in a banshee!!!! Go on eBay and type in banshee motor and sort it to price plus shipping highest first. Completly insane!!

yeah i just cried a little seeing those prices.... well im definately going to have to re-think that i would want me banshee to have at least a 4 mil in it too... so seeing as how that alone is 3500 i might as well get that idea out of my head. i just want something to smoke 700cc's but seeing what u just typed it dosent look like im going to get that for 2gs and not even 3500. its just that all the banshees around my area are selling for 3-5gs so i thought buiilding one would be less trouble/money knowing that it was built right and that i would know what was done to it.. i guess im going to be riding my blaster for a couple yrs! lol ;(

Lol ^^^hes right. I basically got mine for free to and I'm 550$ into it and you can't even tell no motor work yet as i don't really need it at the moment but it will soon. So I'm sending on selling her because i really don't want to drop more money into it unless i will get it back , so far I'm ahead but that won't last for long if i want to do to it what i want.. there not money makers and if you think you will make money or even get it back than don't do it and what you think you will spend you will spend twice as much if not more... I'm being honest. Its kind of like a blaster, if you put 4g into your blasty what do you think you will get out of it? I don't mean to use you as an example wifesblaster but you are on the good side of this one, lol. Look at wifesblaster he picked up an AWESOME World record breaking blaster I'm sure for a fraction of the 10k or more that went into it. Shees are an expensive hobby just like a blasty but the shee $ can add up even quicker..

haha the RAPTOR 700 are the banshee killers. you only put some MONSTER DUAL PIPE or Barkers duals pipe , MSD fuel controller , K&N Filter and some tuning I:Iand even 4mil banshee don`t have a change .
( i am not saying that banshee are bad just i don`t like them )

If you decide to get one, by a complete running one so at least you'll know everything works. A blown up one could cost at least $850 to rebuild, that's what it cost my son for 4mil crank, pistons, gaskets, seals, boring.

Leastwise around here WB might have a hard time getting what he has into his.

Whatever you do don't try to piece one together, (ie) reverse part out.
