Tail Light DIY

Is there a diy for a taillight i cant find one. I'm confused on the wires.

blue is the tail black is ground and the other is brake

thanks, but how do hook them up i don't have the connectors on the new taillight. And also the wires are red and brown for the new taillight.

cut the connecters off from the bike and get some butt conecters brown it prolly for the tail and red for brake...what tail light is it?

My taillight lights up but its always bright, it doesn't get like brighter when I step on the brake, why is this?

do you have the wires hook up backwards

Its one from walmart, I cant remember what brand it was though.

If it's always bright are you sure it's a dual filament bulb ?and if it is then it's only wired on one of the wires you need power to both but the second wire needs to run thru the brake switch

Yeah actually I think its only a single filament so that might be it cause the wires look good.. but now my the lights not working at all it seems that my rear brakes always come out of adjustment and get tight and makes the quad harder to roll the the rear light stops working and once I take it apart and sh*t the light starts working.. but Im gunna check on that bulb to see if thats it and Ill get back. Thanks

hey!! that's where my tailight is, nice lookin, that is some weird wires, why can't they ever make things simple?

So I hear pre 02'' only have a running light, no brake light. On mine there is only two wires, blue and black, is there any way to get a brake light cause it pisses me off lol.

You could setup a system to have a brake light, but you would have to put switches on the pedal and brake lever so it made contact when the brakes are applied.Then get a dual filament bulb to use, and run all the wires from the pedal and lever. IMO its not worth the work and would just clutter up the bike with extra wires.

Most people who have brake lights take them off!!! If the person behind you isn't good at riding then they should stay far enough behind you so that they can safely brake.

If someone behind you (when you're racing) knows when you're braking, it makes it very easy for them to pass you!!
