Hi guys well i got a new chain and sprockets kit. just finished installing them like 3 days ago i was having problems with my throttle so i put it on axle stands to see what it sounded like and its sound alot better than it did last september. sounds like a 2 stroke now!lol .

anyways when i was going through the gears on axle stands my chain went really loose. so i tightened the chain adjusters up to there max when its sitting it keeps its tightness but when it is going through gears/moving the chain loosens off and i can't tighten it anymore? wondering what problem is. i will be buying a different swingarm with the better adjustment but i can't afford one the now so wondering what i can do.. just to let you know i took 1 too many links out chain when fitting it so i had to move my bearing carrier forward for chain to fit.

Firstly you should not be running in gear on axle stands with the weight off of the wheels for any length of time it is bad for the rollers.

The chain should be adjusted with the bike on the floor with the rider sitting on it..

If you adjust the chain with it in contact with the bottom rolller ( the condition it will be in while on stands) it will seem adjusted, but will too slack, as you throttle on the swingarm will reciprocate and cause the chain to loosen.

Get the bike back on the floor, put a bag of wheat on the seat, and adjust the chain for a free slack of 30 to 40mm.

ah thanks man! that dmc exhaust sounds awesome I:I sounds more normal compared to what it sounded like before so i have a feeling my throttle is fine now. (probably was the air leak ) but il be uploading video of it tomorrow test riding it and of it running :)
