Well I am back again thinking of doing a swap. I got a 2008 suzuki dr650 dual sport motor with everything i need to make it run for 80 bucks, Has good compression just no spark. I tracked it down to a bad pick up coil so i am debating on throwing it in the blaster, As far as mods to the blaster is just cut the front two frame supports in the engine area put modded ones in and weld some ears on for the new mounting and it should work just fine. Any ideas on where to buy just a pick up coil and not the whole stator? also any comments or questions would be great.

man i have a drz400sm dual sport bike and that thing doesnt have much power but it is a torque machine for what it is, so i can only imagine the 650. as for the pick up coil, i'd say ebay might be your best bet

try contacting suzuki. it may be expensive but they have to have something. or maybe look around the classifieds sections of forums like thumpertalk and such

I said to hell with it and decided to do the swap...I saw other people on here fail because the welds did not hold up so i picked up a DR650 frame and chopped it up with the saws all in the pick I:I .... I am going to bolt that part of the DR frame to the blaster frame so i should be good...I still need to do some trimming but you get the idea from the pic...BTW i found a pick up coil for the stator for 50 bucks so i am ordering it..wish me luck
