Ok i am working on building me a motor than will let me run with all the other modded out quads where i ride. I recently purchased a +3mm stroker crank with moose bearings and i was wondering which it would perform all around better with. I have a vitos 240 kit that i just bought. I also have a 68 mm wiesco super stock ported piston and ported n polished jug that i am currently running. Any suggestions?

Honestly the ported and polished jug will be faster if its a good port and polish. Really depends on who did it, KOR's port and polish with a head mod will smoke a 240.

I may get Corrected on this. However from my knowledge either way u are going to have to get ur port timing an cylinder adjusted for the longer piston travel with ur stroker.

With that being said since ur gonna have to have some work done with the porting if u have the money an can port an rechamber that 240 I would go for that however a non ported 240 I have heard isn't as good as a well ported an recamberd stock cylinder.

Port an rechamber the 240 if ur going for speed. Also with porting u can get it done to suit ur riding style, weather that be all out top end speed! Or aggressive trail riding.

Do they make a ported piston for the 240 kit

KOR has a ported Vito's 240 kit on their website for $700. But if you already have one, have them port it. That's where you'd get the most power. However, you sure ain't hurtin with the port n polished setup now.

Depending on the porting and the compatibility of the +3 rod, a ported stock bore will usually outperform a standard 240 bore.

If you want a fast bike, take that vitos and get it ported with a head mod and get it all matched so you dont have to run the spacer plate, itll rip! Thats over 1000 bucks in work!

Is adjusting the port timing and rechambering the cylinder something i can do or do i need to send it to a shop. My mechanic left me hanging mid build so i am having to figure it out as i go
