Just curious what the average life expectancy is for a 2 stroke motor? and is it the same for a factory motor vs a aftermarket rebuild?

it all depends on how you ride it and take care of it
a properly broken in engine will go for a very long time if well cared for
an improperly broken in engine will not last very long at all

20 years huh? wow thats crazy. just making sure before i go shelling out a lot of cash that ill get my money out of it. dont want to have to spend again a year down the road. and yea im still new but after about 20 mins i wasnt afraid of the throttle so i am a little hard on it but ill do whatever maintenance wise to compensate haha thanks again guys

Just don't f*ck around on your break in... I'm pretty sure I did and I think my pistons already ready to go... But you got to be positive.

thinkin of doing a 240 kit (not sure who to go with) and a port and polish 3mm stroker and the whole 9 yards and yea ill be real careful with it until i know its good and broke in.
