I am new to this forum, hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction. Here is the problem... I can not start my Blaster using the kick start but I can bump start it. Once the quad gets running it seems to want to stall out for the first few minutes, after it warms up it runs fine until it is shut down, then the problem starts all over again. I have changed the plugs, cleaned the carbs, and just got done rebuilding the top end, still no luck. I have checked for spark and that is not the issue. Also fuel flows fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem on an old bike of mine and it ended up being the shutoff switch was bad, dont ask me why it wouldn't start when i kicked it but started everytime when we bump started it, it's somewhere to start.

did you take your choke appart and clean it well? have you cleaned your air filter lately? how well does it run once you do get it running? setting on air screw?? other mods? welcome to the site!!!

I have tried to start it without the air filter on, and the filter that I have is brand new... Once it starts running it sputters for the first few minutes and then it runs fine. The only mod is a DG full pipe setup, which has been on it for years... the Blaster is a 1989 and has run without issue since it was new, at least until now when I want to sell it.

we had a simular prob and it turned out that the coil plug connector was falling out switched coils now it starts with kick. just a thought!
