sputtering mid/upper rpms power loss?

Hi Folks, Any insight would be appreciated. I have an 02 Blaster full fmf, power reeds, 270 jet , tors removed and new clutch. Last couple short rides the power is gone in the mid/ upper rpm range and no powerband reachable. It runs hard in each gear but you gotta shift quick cause it will sputter and fall on its face seconds into gear. It was running great a couple weeks ago and then air filter bolt/washer somehow came loose and got inhaled. Washer didnt get far but bolt got caught at reeds. Hasnt quite been the same since but reeds looked okay - nothing visible. Replaced the clutch and spark plug a week ago-pretty easy and works well but this sputtering is no good. I took airfilter off temp. see if there was problem but running same. Please Help

it almost sounds like your running rich. i would also make sure reeds are fully closed when at rest. no air gaps.

I think the best be is if you dubble check your reeds or if you can change them
