Splitting the case

Need to know what tools I need to split the case... just bought a blaster that the piston grenaded. Any one know what also could of caused it it's not bored out or anything

If a skirt broke off the piston it could have been from excessive wear causing piston slap.

If the top melted it could have been caused by a lean mixture from too small a jetting, or an air leak causing a lean AFR.

You will need a puller to split the cases.

Harmonic balancer puller from Harbor Freight, even has right thread/length of bolts to work !!
