Some of you might think im stupid for saying this but, i have really cool/wacky idea....

My idea consists of a air mattress air pump...I was going to take my old air pump, take the switch out and attach it too my handlebars for an On/off switch...then take the pump, put it in my storage box under the seat and drill a 1in hole in my airbox lid and attach a rubber hose to the inflate to the hole in the lid....and to get air to the pump, i would attach another rubber hose from the deflate to where the oil injector fill bottle would sit..(empty hole right now...and to run it, i would have my grandpa convert it from the wall pug-in to the wiring harness...Its better than a turbo because you dont have to worry about oil supply, it takes up less space, and if you feel that its too lean, you could always turn it off...I know its a stupid idea, but tell me if it would be possible???

probly woulnt work right on a 2stoke.. i dont think any turbo would work right because of the pipe expantion chamber and the ports work together in a sertant way. that y we havent seen a good working 2stroke machine with a turbo.. if im wrong im wrong but im sure im right.

Im gonna try it on my 4 stroke first...except im not gonna go out of the way to mount it up...

not quite the setup he's thinking of but its a turbo 2stroke..

YouTube - insane turbo banshee!

Im pretty sure thats just a shee with a turbocharged street bike engine in it...

You can make it work, but you overlooked one crucial detail, the carb..

Fuel is normally drawn out of the jets by the low pressure in the carb due to the venturi effect, if you increase the pressure in the airflow, without increasing the pressure in the bowl, you just easily just end up blowing air back out through the jets and not getting any fuel...

The trick is to pressurise the float bowl. The make carbs called Blow-through carbs for the Mini cooper supercharging kits.. The supercharger blows high pressure air through the carb, but it still works because the pressure at the inlet of the carb is the same as the pressure in the bowl of the carb...

So, you would need to take the drain tubes and connect them to the intake boot near the entrance to the carb.. You may need to pressurise your fuel tank to keep it from blowing your fuel from the bowl back into the tank..

The Idea is you have higher pressure on every aspect of the intake, (fuel tank, so the fuel still flows down, float bowl to keep the carb drawing fuel from the jets as the airflow accelerated through the venturi on its way to the reed valve) so, drain tubes, fuel tank and carb intake need to have the same pressure, connect them all to the air box..
