alright here goes, i bought this bike a year ago last august, ran when i test drove it, but didnt have rear brakes, kid i bought it from said he was in the process of getting some and when they arrived he would send them right over to me. no brakes ever showed and after a long debate with im i basically got the shaft. while all this was going on the top end fries itself because the oil pump fails. i rebuild it and get it going just in time for winter, so it goes into the barn for the cold season. this spring i get to ride it a couple of times and it was great . well i move down to mass from vermont in june. And about a month ago i get it down here and put it into the basement while my buddy gets his bike running. well last saturday we get em both out and running and i go to make a lap around my driveway(after letting it warm up for about 7 minutes) and it craps out 3/4 of the way around. the crank bearing takes a dump and i lose an inch long piece of my upper ring. so i call all over and find an engine off craigslist for 250 , guy says its got fsh rebuild on the top and is ready to ride. in the time it takes to swap in the new engine i notice that my carrier bearings are completely shot. so i put new ones in but while installing them the axle gets stripped on one side. so i come on here and DUALSTROKE hooks it up with a trade for a good axle, then today i finally get it all together greased up ,cahined lubed gas tank full . go to kick it and it doesnt fire. do a compression test and its only got 60 psi. call the guy i bought it form immediately and tell him, he says his buddy rebuilt it with brand new stock parts. ask him if they bored it up he says nope, its got new rings it should run fine. what an idiot this guy is. so now im getting a full refund but am without an engine. now i have a old blown topend and a lower end that has a bad crank bearing.
my question is what should i do now? i dont have enough money to rebuild it right now and it will be awhile befor i get to . should i wait and rebuild it or just part it out and give up on it?i honestly have only gotten to REALLY ride it like 4 times, other than riding around the yard.
