So I Got My Paint Today :)

Hi so i got my krylon fusion white spray paint today im going to sand the plastics tomorrow with wet sanding blocks. iv got a thing for going on the end of my drill which polishes thing its a cloth type of thing is it suitable to use after iv sanded them to try shine them for painting?

i wouldnt personally shine them, in my experiences anything with a sheen paint has trouble bonding to it. put a coat or 2 of paint sand again with fine grit(not much) clean the surface another coat of paint and then clear it, should be just fine

Cheers Mate I had a link that people shows you it works it shows to use the wet sanding blocks until its smooth then use sandblasting ? wasn't sure of this though but on the pic it makes the plastics come up like new. i have sandblasting stuff and a compressor if i could use it .

great link and great info, i just learned something new.lol i always did it the way i posted from experience i started a painting/remodeling company a few years back but painting 4 wheelers was never on the list of (to dos) just something ive done on all of mine, good luck and hope to see some finish work bro

on another note the sandblasting scares me a bit i think theres alot that could go wrong lol

yeah mate il see what happens when it comes to tomorrow hopefully the wet sanding blocks will do the trick i will be taking pictures of progress right through from what im doing to quad got a few pictures to ad to my album i will do it just feel free to have a look dude

no problem bud im going to head and watch a movie but i shall send you a pm tomorrow when i upload pictures and you can have a look i might get them painted tomorrow but just depends on weather as its been rain for a couple of days now but il get them sanded
