smoking too much and no power after rebuild

I rebuilt my blaster with an experienced small engine mechanic, I did 5 heating cycles and rode on low rpm's, the next day it was smoking a lot, so I emptied out the carburetor and shook the tank but continued to smoke excessively I took it around the house and it gave me little power please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Does it still have the oil injection or did u pre mix? If u pre mixed what ratio? That smoke looks awfully white...it might be burning transmission oil
 
Did you or the builder perform a leak down test? Are you pre mixing or oil injection? What does the smoke smell like and at what level is the trans fluid? sounds like it could be a trans side crank seal.
 
as mentioned above, that looks like trans fluid to me too.
time for a leakdown test ! (message me if you need a tester :) )

why was it rebuilt ?
just worn out ?

break a piston skirt and it dropped into the bottom end ?

Rebuilt because I blew top and it took the bottom with it
 
do you think you've run it enuf to burn off all the extra lube used during assembly ?
a leakdown test will point you to the source if it's seal or cases related

this doesn't have to do with the excess smoke, but did you retorque the head and base bolts after the last
heat cycle & cooldown

I did not torque the heads I borrowed someone's torque wrench when I rebuilt it I do believe so, I did 5 he cycles each one I ran 5 minutes and let it cool for half an hour

the head and base bolts should be retorqued after the last heat cycle & cooldown. < has nothing to do with the smoking, just noticed you didn't mention it.

Is this a picture after assembly and you just took the motor back out and head back off?
 
Did you use a new head gasket or anneal the old one ? If using the old head gasket you should anneal it to soften the copper. If not than you have more of a chance to have a leak between the head and cyl. Not that this is causing your smoke but it could cause a lean condition which would case an engine failure over time.

Also,, even with new seals and or gaskets they could leak. You should perform a leak test after assembly to be sure all is sealed correctly. Im not saying you didn't do things properly. Im just saying sometimes things are over looked and sometimes forgotten about. Before running the motor any longer you should certainly perform a leakdown test and properly torque the head and cyl to spec.

Nope new gaskets
 
next step to get you back and running is buying a leak tester to verify you have an air leak before you go and rip your motor apart but it sounds like you might have to do that anyway because I have a feeling that the trans side crank seal popped out or it was the wrong seal. if you are tight on money and mechanically inclined you can watch the blaster motor assembly videos on youtube by Ken Oconnor Racing and do it yourself. if not send it to him or someone other then your "experienced small engine mechanic"
