smoke?,, from side of top end

im woried because when i start i see smoke puffs coming from the top side of the jug on both sides and its when it backfires .im thinking this is bad?

blown head gasket, check the torque on the head nuts

will do. if there tight is there a certan way to chang a gasket .?or just put it on?

pull the head off, check to see if its warped, there's a downloadable manual on here that will give you the specifics on everything

Head gasket is fairly simple. Remove old one, make sure both surfaces are clean. As brando said, get this manual and follow the simple instructions. Just make sure the gasket goes on facing the right way. Here's a link for the manual and good luck to you.

and dude dont ride it like that until that gaskets changed.....u could end up with a melted hole in ur piston from the airleak

I just put mine on. Same thing, put it on the correct position and torque to 20 ftlbs in sequence. It is so simple,"Even a Cave Man Could Do It". Just kiddin.
