i was just wondering ur guys's opinion on running skidplates, i run full skids, and 18's on the back and get hung up alot, but i like the protection, what do u guys think

depends on where you ride , at dyracuse atv park my blaster on 18s got hung up in every corner due to the ruts (sand dirt mix) i have the skid plate off my 200x for winter riding, less to drag threw the snow and slow me down.. if you ride rocky terrain you may want the skid to protext your chain and rotor

I take mine off the Banshee when at the dunes, but put back on for the local trails because of rocks. Most of the trails at the dunes are rutted up and I got hung up a lot. Got tired of wrenching my guts out trying to manhandle it out.

Anybody got pics to share of their skid plates? It would be cool to see the designs that work well and those that suck.

Thanks!

full skids homemade, they are mounted much better now lol

Full skid plates... The A Arms skid plates are RPM and the swing arm and body skide plates are homemade.. They got the hell beat out of them at AWK's wild ride II

first off, why are you, or anyone, running 18's ?????
they are for an mx track only, in my opinion, 20's for the trails!!!!!, if you did it for more low end, a $14 12 tooth sprocket would have done a better job still allowing you more ground clearence
bring your 18's to my trails, and bring your tow strap too !!!!

i got 22s that are great for trails but they slow my acceleration down with the extra rotating weight but not too bad ik i could fix it with a smaller sprocket but i like the speed i have
