silencer repack

I'm running an fmf powercore 2 and I was wondering if they were repackable

sure are, drill out the rivets at the rear, pull the end cap and stinger tube out, clean out all the bad packing, replace with new, re-rivet or use short hex head self tapping sheet metal screws with a little high temp rtv on the threads to keep them tight.

please use proper packing too.........

Yep. Just get the endcap off and repack. probably will have to drill out the rivits.

it looks like theres no rivets on the end cap but theres one on top of the silencer

This is what I used on the 'Shee : Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scrubbing Pads, 3ct, 2pk: Household Essentials : Walmart.com
6 or 7 in each FMF can. Will never burn out, rust, take forever to clog/oil soak.

Just got done shortening/repacking my FMF silencer. It is held together with bolts, making the repack all that much easier. I used the FMF 2 stroke packing. Can't go wrong for $8.
