I know this has been posted millions of time over and over again but I want get a straight answer cause Im ready to do this! Im going to extend the swingarm 4 inchs and i know that will slide the shock back and the stock one will not work. Questions!

1. Will extending it lower the rear any?

2. What shock can I use with the 4 inch extension (what year and kind, direct fit would be good but some modding will be ok.

3. Any other help would be good.

I do mountain riding and some flatland so any help with the setup will be app

the only way u will need a longer shock is if u change where the shock mount is. when u extend the swingarm, do it behind the stock mount and ur stock shock will still work!

exactly what blasterfreek said, just cut i behind the mount so u dont have to move the shock

no u wont need a new shock, if the fabricating job is good, strong welds are the key, the welds on my swingarm cracked, but i bottomed out hard on on jump, rewelded it good, got 400ex shock and it works perfect

the more horizontal you lay a vertical shock the stiffer it is, and there is also a lot more stress on the bushings by having the bottom of the shock out farther, u want to cut and weld behind the shockmount like said before
