Shifter Seal

To do it right, you have to pull off the clutch cover, and the clutch boss and basket too. which means draining the fluid and replacing that.

Its kind of a pain in the ass. Pretty sure you gotta pull the clutch off to get the shifter shaft out. And you gotta get the shifter shaft out to replace that seal.

Someone else chime in on this? Ive done it on a banshee. If its the same on a blaster, Im pretty sure Im right.

Drain the clutch oil. Remove the shifter lever. Use a small flat head screwdriver to gently pry the old seal out. Pry from the inside diameter of the seal. Clean the seal opening really well. Use electrical tape and tape around the teeth of the shifter rod. Oil the seal really well and slide it over the rod and into place. Use a deep well socket that has the same diameter as the seal. GENTLY tap the socket against the seal while making sure it goes in evenly. When the outside edge of the seal is even with the outside of the case, it is in far enough. Remove the tape from the rod and put the lever back on.
