shift lever

i got some boots (size 13) and went riding the other day and it seemed herd to get the boot under the shift lever to up shift. any suggestions?

take a sharpie marker, draw a line down across the shifter and shaft, remove the shifter bolt, pull the shifter, then rotate it upwards a few splines, watching that line you drew to ensure how far you moved it, set to your likings
