a few months ago my dad got a shaved head for his blaster and it had really good throttle response and his bike could out run mine and i got jealous lol we were out at the sand dunes riding trails around in 3 gear and his bike quit and we got it to start back up and got back to camp and its been sitting now from oct. so i got me a shaved head and was told i could still run pump gas but i run ms 103 vp race fuel so i took my blaster out today to ride it got about a mile from the house and it just quit and my blaster has never quit got it to start back up and hear a noise like thin metal in the motor got about 1/4 of a mile back home and quit again so i pushed it back home and checked the spark plug and it looks great not lean or too rich but there is metal shavings on the plug and i have lost compresion and i know its not the gasket leaking air have not got to see what the piston looks like yet i will try to look tomorrow does anyone know why this would happen after a shaved head

thin metal sound?? cosistant or only on the gas?? like a'pinging' sound??? could have been detonation... even if your running race fuel you stil need to be jetted correctly.. shaved head, ported big bore pipes open filter yadda yadda yadda still wont be safe on race gas with stock or close to jetting.

yeah the jetting is right we spent time getting it jetted right the metal sound was all the time didnt stop when your into the gas or not my head was shaved under .035 but my dads there is not even alip on the head at all

sounds to me like u should of used pump gas 93

well with the shaved head, you can go up to .035 on pump gas but ur running race gas which is ok, you need to explain the symptoms a little further
