i think its a bit like these stupid electric superchargers for cars that are sold on ebay which are just ridiculous. however, my friends yfz 450 which was race prepared by atv world over here in the uk and was raced by British quad champ john mitchell had something similar to this placed in the carb's intake.
The idea behind this product is to let you run a much larger carb for max top end power. The divider increases the air Velocity by dividing the intake area of the carb into to smaller spaces increasing the draw on the pilot and main at lower rpm's. I can't say myself if it truly works.
I have experimented with them.
My KZ1000 has full port dividers from carb to valve right now.
The longer the divider, the stronger the low end torque.
The last section to the valve killed top end power, but it pulls like a tractor off idle now.
That is not how those engines typically worked.
These port dividers tend to improve mid-throttle response and low throttle torque.
The do not add any max power but do improve the response when you suddenly open it.
They work best on oversize carbs (like 35 and 38mm on a Blaster) and often work better at the 1/3rd position rather than the half.
