I have a 2002 yamaha blaster 200. ran good on the trails until the other day i was coming off a trail through a small puddle slowly and it started running bad. could only drive with a very little bit of throttle or full throttle. now its home. it will start and run pretty good then start barely running whether full,, half, or no throttle then dies. clean the plug and seems to run ok again. new plug? carb adjustment? carb is clean

Is there a possibility that the tank cap vent got filled with mud, not allowing air into the tank?
the previous owner twisted the tor wires together near the carburetor but i'll try the brain today and i can blow through the tank cover?
Good call!! Was just thinking of other effects a puddle could have.
Wouldn't hurt to check out under stator cover. Pull boot from carb and look for signs of mud. Inspect/clean air filter. Inspect plug cap, maybe trim 1/4" from wire and install with bit of dielectric grease.
also forgot to mention sometimes when i kick it over now it makes a loud backfire/pop out of the exhaust
If fuel is building up in the header it often causes a backfire!

I'm going to try to check the float this afternoon. This is what it sounds like. It ran a lot longer than usual
not to be picky.....but it looks like the hose is a lil restricted in pic anyways,could just be the pic...maybe try loosing the gas cap to make sure it is breathing properly. i accidently pinched that hose once and it made a huge difference in the way it ran..

un hook tors brain,i can see the thumb throttle wire in your video
not sure why the wire is twist,connected near carb if the 02 tors delete only calls for unplugging the brain?

thanks for the help guys. unplugged the non-needed things, tors and parking brake and stuff was running mint and idling. took it up the road quick and came back then it quit. think the top end went. has no compression now. gona take the top end off and try to fix it. any suggestions?
When you bother bothering, leak test it before you bother!
